Annual Winter Kayaking & Cheesecake Trip
January 12-14, 2013 : Saltspring Island & beyond

Why is winter paddling awesome?
- No (or super low) campsite fees, fire bans, or party boats -- the water and islands are all yours, yours, yours.
- Really appreciate those luxuriously hot bowls of rich soup at lunch, warm toasty fires and homemade cheesecake every night (as is tradition).
- Occasional treatment to clear-as-heck starry skies and ocean floor, sea lion colonies (only here in the winter), and even catching flakes of snow on your tongue as you paddle.

Who can come:
you can if you've had kayaking/backcountry camping experience before and you talk to Dai.

How much does it cost?:  This is a non-profit, volunteer-organized trip (retail value around $500).  Just pay for your boat & trailering fees, give me some money (about $30) to cover other fees & gas, and make a donation of your choice to the Eager Beavers Campership Fund.  We'll organize meals to share.

Disclaimer:
not acting as a guide, multiple dangers abound including sea monsters and hypothermia, come at your own risk.  Like most outdoor activities, this is not a "safe" trip. If something goes wrong, you could be seriously injured or die.
