Recommended ratios of food per person - Expedition Kayaking
cuppp = cup per person
Breakfasts (include fresh fruit)
Lunch (soup + a do it yourself sandwich is great)
All volumes are for dry amounts (uncooked), and assume the food will be the staple of the meal, along with additions like veggies/sauces/proteins.
If the food is only part of the meal, use less; e.g. if rice is to go IN burritos, only about 1/4 cuppp dry rice is needed.

Dinner -- dry measurements (combine carbs with veggies, sauce, & a protein). Bring some extra.
Vegetarian-Friendly Protein Ideas
- Quinoa, tofu, eggs, lentils, beans, chickpeas, "veggie meats", veggie dogs, veggie burgers, TVP/tempeh, seeds, nuts, nut butters, peanut butter (watch for allergies).
